Academe, CSOs, BARMM planning representatives, and Office of MP Antao engage in planning for the establishment of two modern Bangsamoro communities
MIDSAYAP, COTABATO (June3, 2023) — Organized by Educational Communication and System Management Circle (ECSMC) of Cotabato Foundation College of Science & Technology and the League of Bangsamoro Organizations, Inc. (LBO), supported by the Office of the Member of Parliament Mohammad Kelie U. Antao, and participated by the planning representatives from the BARMM ministries, three-day planning activity for laying the foundation of creating two communities was conducted through the “Rapid Strategic Planning-Workshop on the State-of-the-Art Development Landscaping of the Ligawasan and Baranibod Enclaves”, held at Ace Royale Function Hall, Midsayap, on June 2-4, 2023.
Aimed at establishing modern communities out of undeveloped enclaves, the Ligawasan Enclave Associative Development (LEAD) Program and the Baranibod Resettlement & Area Development (BRAD) Program for Landless Mujahideen Families were conceptualized by ECSMC-an organization of students under doctorate program of CFCST- for Ligawasan and Baranibod, respectively.
Formulation of the concepts was preceded by MP Antao’s idea of establishing a well-sustained society for the Bangsamoro.
The substantial output of the activity will be an instrument to materialize the LEAD and BRAD concepts and hence, will play a very significant role in the stated aims that will not only host the Bangsamoro constituents both in and outside BARMM but will also provide economic opportunities and elevate infrastructure development and resources’ preservation.
Inspired by dynamic interdependence, the activity was themed, “Adopting the Associative Development Approach (ADA) in Pursuit of Instituting World-class Bangsamoro Communities”. The movement invites multi-sectoral participation and solicits collective efforts from government agencies, funding institutions, development agencies, and even international cooperating bodies.
Forums, meetings, and several discussions will be conducted for a sustained motion of the plan. (Faydiyah Samanodi Akmad, Photo by Mohamiden G. Solaiman & Haron A. Sansawi, BMN/BangsamoroToday)
