HWPL Concludes Successful Year-End Peace Messengers’ Gathering Online
COTABATO CITY (January 2, 2024) — The Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), in partnership with the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG), celebrated the momentous 2024 Year-End Peace Messengers’ Gathering, themed “Shining Together for Peace: A Night of Gratitude and Inspiration,” on December 28, 2024, via an online platform. The event brought together peace advocates, local government representatives, women’s groups, civil society organizations, youth groups, media members, and academia from various regions across the Philippines.
The virtual gathering highlighted HWPL’s key milestones in promoting peace through peace legislation, peace education programs, interfaith dialogues, and empowerment efforts targeting youth and women. Attendees were inspired by accomplishment reports and presentations outlining plans for 2025. The event also served as a renewal of commitment to a shared vision: building a world characterized by lasting peace.
HWPL expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all members and stakeholders whose unwavering support has been instrumental in achieving these milestones. Their contributions have empowered HWPL to broaden its reach and impact while fostering a culture of peace within communities nationwide.
“We must help each other and work together to build a good world that is livable for future generations. To do so, we must unite under the banner of peace towards achieving global harmony—making this our shared goal for posterity,” stated HWPL Chairman Lee Man-hee during the last HWPL World Peace Summit.
Echoing Chairman Lee’s sentiments was Rommel Garces, Chief Branch Manager of HWPL Philippines who encouraged continued support from members and allies alike.
In addition to celebrating past achievements during this gathering, HWPL announced plans for the 3rd HWPL International Religious Peace Academy, featuring three sessions on January 11th, 18th, and 25th in 2025. This live program will provide religious leaders and individuals from diverse backgrounds opportunities to engage in scriptural comparisons aimed at deepening understanding and fostering interfaith harmony.
