The conflict of the two parties originated from a marital conflict in Barangay Central Labas, Midsayap, North Cotabato, reached an amicable resolution through dedicated mediation efforts.

Another milestone in this reconciliation journey unfolded on April 24, 2024, as Captain Esmael P. Talusan of Barangay Matilac facilitated negotiations between Datu Kulab, Kagi Sebod, and others. The settlement involved the assistance of Mayor Datu Umbra Dilangalen of Northern Kabuntalan. The gathering took place at the 34th Infantry Battalion Headquarters in Barangay Salunayan, Midsayap North Cotabato.

The collaborative endeavor engaged key stakeholders, including the Moro Islamic Liberation Front Coordinating Committee on the Cessation of Hostilities (MILF-CCCH) and the Philippine Army’s 34th Infantry Battalion.
