PARANG, MAGUINDANAO DEL NORTE (April 29,2024) — In a momentous ceremony held at Camp Pendatun in the Municipality of Parang, Maguindanao, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. delivered a heartfelt message congratulating the graduating class of Batch 2023-01 Classes Alpha-Bravo ‘BAKAS-LIPI’ of the Bangsamoro Police Basic Recruit. The proud parents and family members of the graduates, government officials, and distinguished guests attended the ceremony.

“BAKAS-LIPI”, consisting of 52 individuals from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and 50 from the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), is the first group of patrolmen and patrolwomen from the MILF and MNLF to enter the police force in under the Bangsamoro Organic Law.

Addressing the graduates, President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. expressed his admiration for their dedication and hard work throughout their training, acknowledging the challenges they faced and the sacrifices they made to reach this milestone. He emphasized the significance of their chosen name, ‘BAKAS-LIPI,’ which stands for Bangsamoro Kapulisan Sandigan ng Lipunang Pilipino, symbolizing their role as guardians of peace and unity in society.

President Marcos Jr. commended the graduates for their commitment to public service, highlighting the importance of their mission in safeguarding their fellow Filipinos. He underscored the responsibility that comes with their new role, urging them to uphold the principles of peace, justice, and progress in their service to the Bangsamoro region and the entire nation.

Furthermore, the head of state reminded the graduates of the ongoing journey of self-improvement and learning, emphasizing the need for continuous growth and development in their chosen profession. President Marcos Nr. encouraged them to be steadfast in their dedication to duty and to serve as role models for their communities.

In closing, the President of Republic of the Philippines committed his full support to the graduates as they embark on their new chapter as members of the Bangsamoro Police Force. He expressed confidence that their efforts would contribute to building a peaceful and prosperous future for the Bangsamoro and the entire country.
