STATEMENT OF SUPPORT TO THE CALL OF CSOs IN MINDANAO FOR THE COMPLETE IMPLEMENTATION OF CAB THROUGH FURTHER EXTENSION OF BANGSAMORO TRANSITION AUTHORITY UNTIL 2028

The League of Bangsamoro Organizations (LBO), investing its trust and confidence herein, issues this support statement, and hereby expresses its unqualified endorsement of the Statement of the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Mindanao calling for the completion of the implementation of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB) through further extension of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority until year 2028.
Likewise, the LBO is with the belief that much in the CAB is yet to be fulfilled and implemented by the parties, significant conditions are still to be complied upon accordingly by both peace implementing panels, thereby substantial task requirements of the peace tracks have to be completed, which have been necessitating ample and reasonable time as provided for according to CAB’s time-frame and peace road-map.
Indeed, there is no assurance in the continued preservation of those accumulated peace gains and the sustainability of which other than in affording CAB the required, thus enough leeway to run its course as agreed upon by the GPH and the MILF peace panels.
As such, LBO is unanimously settled over the matters above and hereby contends the same requisites as conditions for a continued peace in Mindanao. Thus, this support statement to the call of CSOs in Mindanao upon the GPH and the MILF for uninterrupted implementation of CAB through further extension of the BARMM’s transition status, thereby giving to both peace implementing panels complete time to comply with their reciprocal deliverable.
LBO is a conglomeration of local and national CSOs, NGOs and POs with 632 member organizations both based and geographically distributed in and outside the BARMM areas.
