Twenty Halal-Friendly Philippine Products to be Showcased at Trade Fair in Malaysia
GENERAL SANTOS CITY (September 16, 2024) — Twenty of the Philippines’ top Halal-friendly products and services will be showcased at the 20th Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS), running from September 17 to 20, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, according to a post of halalafriendlyphilippines.com
The undertaking will be facilitated by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), an attached corporation of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in collaboration with DTI’s Halal Industry Development-Program Management Office (HID-PMO) and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Kuala Lumpur.
Aside from the exhibit, the HID-PMO will also host the Philippine Halal Investment Forum at the MIHAS, aiming to boost the country’s Halal certifications and improve global standing in the Halal industry.
CITEM’s participation at MIHAS aims to establish the Philippines as a prominent player in various Halal industries, including food, cosmetics, fashion, and finance.
Halal-friendly Philippines is a flagship program of the DTI aimed at showcasing and enhancing the Philippines’ reputation as a source of high-quality Halal products and services. This initiative highlights the country’s commitment to meeting Halal standards across various industries, including food, cosmetics, fashion, and finance.
