Philippine Muslim Federation-Qatar Hosts Five-Day Aqeedah Lecture

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (September 25, 2024) — The Philippine Muslim Federation – Qatar in collaboration with Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center hosted from September 11 to 14, 2024, the insightful five-day Aqeedah Lecture at the Fanar Auditorium in Doha, Qatar. This event was a highlight of the Filipino Islamic Knowledge Week 2024, aimed at deepening participants’ understanding of the foundational beliefs of Islam.

The course featured Dr. Abdullah M. Abtahi, a distinguished scholar with a PhD in Da’wah and Fundamentals of Religion, who shared his expertise on key Islamic principles.

One of the core topics discussed was “Al-Wala wal Bara,” or “Loyalty and Disavowal.” Dr. Abtahi elaborated on how this concept fosters solidarity among Muslims while emphasizing the importance of disavowing those who pose a threat to the faith.

In addition to the discussions on loyalty, Dr. Abtahi provided practical methods for strengthening one’s faith, empowering participants to enhance their spiritual lives.

The course successfully concluded on September 15, marking a meaningful end to the Filipino Islamic Knowledge Week 2024, which aimed to enrich Islamic understanding within the Filipino Muslim community.
