MSSD Provides Cash Assistance to Indigent PWDs in Ampatuan

COTABATO CITY (May 23, 2024) — In a significant act of support, the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) extended financial assistance to indigent persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur.

The social services and development of BARMM said a total of 118 PWD beneficiaries received Php 3,000 each, intended to cover their needs for six months. This initiative is a part of MSSD’s Kalinga para sa may Kapansanan Program, a pioneering effort in the region aimed at providing Php 500 monthly financial aid to eligible indigent PWDs.

The program conducted on May 8, 2024, underscores the Ministry’s commitment to aiding vulnerable communities and ensuring that PWDs receive the necessary support to meet their basic needs.
