PAGBABALIK TANAW SA NAKARAAN: Ang dating Chief of Staff ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na si Gen. Carlito G. Galvez, Jr. ay nagsagawa ng makasaysayang pagbisita sa MILF main camp sa Darapanan na sinamahan ni WESTMINCOM Chief Lt. Gen. Arnel B. Dela Vega; CG, 6ID and Cmdr. JFT Central MGen. Cirilito E. Sobejana ; CG, 1ID and Cmdr. JFT ZAMPELAN MGen. Roseller G. Murillo; MGen. Rene Glen O. Paje, J7 AFP; MGen. Fernando T. Trinidad, J7 AFP; PCSupt. Garciano J. Mijares PNP, Chairman of GPH AHJAG, and other Officers and Men of the AFP, and the Philippine National Police (PNP) noong ika-6 ng Oktubre 2018.

Ang mga bumisitang opisyal ng militar ay sinalubong ni Sammy Al Mansoor, Chief of Staff ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) - Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF) sa pagpasok nila sa entrance ng MILF Central Committee Plenary Hall, habang mahigit 4,000 MILF na bumuo ng foyer o human chain ang mga mandirigma ng MILF mula sa Quirino Bridge na nag-uugnay sa Lungsod ng Cotabato at Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, na simbolo ng pagkakaibigan at partnership para sa kapayapaan ng Bangsamoro sa bansa na unang ipinagkaloob ng MILF sa sinumang bumibisitang opisyal.

Si Ret.Gen. Galvez at ang kanyang entourage ay tinanggap ng mga miyembro ng MILF Central Committee sa pangunguna ni Chairman Al Haj Murad Ebrahim na nagpakilala sa heneral bilang isang "Sundalo ng Kapayapaan" na minsan ay nagsilbi bilang Chairman ng GPH – AHJAG, at hindi na bago sa GPH-MILF peace process.
