
MiRLeC Board Gathers Ahead of Multi-Sectoral Dialogue to Finalize Key Election Peace Agenda

COTABATO CITY (August 5, 2025) — Ahead of the much-anticipated Multi-Sectoral Dialogue for Peaceful Elections, the Mindanao Religious Leaders Conference (MiRLeC) Board of Trustees, along with the Bangsamoro Darul-Ifta’, held a strategic meeting on August 4, 2025 (Safar 10, 1447) at the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) Conference Hall 2, BGC, Cotabato City.
The meeting was convened to finalize key agenda items in preparation for the August 5 dialogue at Notre Dame University. Discussions centered on: 1. Board Composition and Representation – including efforts to strengthen leadership presence among Muslim and Indigenous Peoples (IP) communities and strategies for formal inclusion; 2. Organizational Legitimacy – updates on the draft for SEC registration, membership protocols, and the scheduling of a General Assembly; 3. Strategic Priorities – finalization of the theme for this year’s Mindanao Week of Peace (MWOP), identification of thematic focus areas, and alignment of upcoming activities with MiRLeC’s mission and vision.
The session concluded with the presentation of a Joint Statement, reaffirming the Board’s united commitment to promoting inclusive, peaceful, and democratic processes across Mindanao. (BMN/BangsamoroToday)
