BSC Opens Bangsamoro Youth Sports Camp 2025

COTABATO CITY (July 5, 2025) — The Bangsamoro Sports Commission (BSC) officially launched the Bangsamoro Youth Sports Camp 2025 on Friday. The event attracted young athletes and sports leaders from across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) for a weekend dedicated to learning, leadership, and athletic empowerment.
BYC on its Facebook post said that the first day commenced with an impactful morning session on Ethical and Transformative Leadership, led by Atty. Rebo Saguisag, Executive Director of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). He emphasized the significance of integrity and purpose in leadership, both on and off the court.
In the afternoon, participants were inspired by a keynote address from Coach Jess Evangelio, head coach of DAVRAA and the reigning champion of the 2025 Palarong Pambansa Men’s Basketball tournament. Coach Jess shared his team’s journey toward victory, providing valuable insights on discipline, team building, and achieving greatness despite challenges.
“This important initiative is made possible through the generous sponsorship of MP Atty. Sha Elijah B. Dumama-Alba, Floor Leader of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament, in partnership with Pocari Sweat, the official sports drink of the BSC”, the sports commission said.
It announced that the camp will continue until Sunday, July 6, concluding with a leadership activity designed to equip Bangsamoro youth participants with essential skills for both sports and civic engagement. (Tu Alid Alfonso, BMN/ BangsamoroToday)
