Various Organizations in Istanbul Meet with MILF Chairman Al-Haj Murad
COTABATO CITY (June 25, 2025) — Al-Haj Murad Ebrahim, the Chairman of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), is widely recognized for his strong principles, patience, and determination to uphold the gains of the peace process. He was recently invited by several organizations, officials, and leaders in Istanbul.
Turkey has been a longstanding partner of the MILF in the Bangsamoro peace process, implementing various development programs in the Bangsamoro Region.
A post from MILF Chairman Official said that mong the officials who met with Chairman Murad to discuss the current situation in the Bangsamoro Region and to express their strong support for his leadership was İsrafil Kışla, Chief Counselor to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Despite ongoing controversies in the region, Chairman Murad remains optimistic that the aspirations of the Bangsamoro people, as outlined in the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB), will be fulfilled by both the MILF and the Government of the Philippines.
