COTABATO CITY (April 30, 2025) — The “Ang Tinig ng Senior Citizen Partylist #97,” represented by its second nominee for Congressman, Abz Manalasal, conducted a barangay-to-barangay campaign program and met with community residents, primarily senior citizens, in Barangay Cawilihan, Aleosan, North Cotabato on Tuesday, April 29.

The campaign aimed to encourage not only senior citizens but also other individuals to vote and support Ang Tinig ng Senior Citizen Partylist.

Congressman Manalasal outlined their main platforms, known as the 4K—Kalusugan (Health), Kabuhayan (Livelihood), Karapatan (Rights), and Kamatayan (Death). He emphasized that the struggles of senior citizens should be recognized and supported not only by their families but also by the government as part of its social responsibilities.

“The Tinig ng Senior Citizens was established to represent the rights and benefits of senior citizens. Its founder, Former Congressman Godofredo Arquiza, is the author of the 20% discount law for senior citizens that you all enjoy today,” he stated in a mix of Bisaya and Tagalog.

Esther Cabaya Catanus, President of Barangay Cawilihan, expressed her full support for the party. She hopes that #97 Ang Tinig ng Senior Citizen Partylist will succeed in the elections so they can assist senior citizens in need within their community.

“We want to convey that we hope to be valued, not just in our barangay, but across the entire municipality of Aleosan. This is our problem as seniors: many of us are sick, we lack financial support, and we have no means of income,” she said. (USM OJT Student: Bai Onamayda P. Dilanggalen, Amera M.
