MENRE Donates Titled Lots to Basilan Police Provincial Office Headquarters

COTABATO CITY (April 11, 2025) — The Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy (MENRE) of the Bangsamoro government officially transferred titled lots at the Basilan Police Provincial Office Headquarters in Barangay Menzi, Isabela City, on Thursday, April 10.

Director Eshan Karl O. Mabang of the Land Management Services of MENRE led the event and conducted the symbolic handover of land documents designated for the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company and the Lamitan City Police Station.

“This act of land donation underscores MENRE’s commitment to strengthening institutional support for law enforcement and public safety in the region,” stated MENRE in a social media post.

Several notable individuals from both the local government and the Philippine National Police attended the event. Among them were Marietta R. Ladjiman, the Provincial Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy Officer for Basilan; PBGEN Romeo J. Macapaz, the Regional Director of the Police Regional Office – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO BAR); and PCOL Cerrazid A. Umabong, the Provincial Director. Additionally, Hon. Hadjiman S. Hataman-Salliman, the esteemed Governor of Basilan, and Hon. Roderick H. Furigay, the active Mayor of Lamitan City, were present.

This land donation reinforces MENRE’s broader commitment to empowering local law enforcement and enhancing public safety mechanisms across the region. The collective presence at the event highlighted the shared dedication across multiple sectors to promote public order, foster institutional collaboration, and ensure sustainable land management.
