Chief Minister Macacua Convenes Special Cabinet Meeting to Ensure Continued Progress in Sulu

COTABATO CITY (September 13, 2025) —Chief Minister Abdulraof “Sammy Gambar” Macacua convened a Special Cabinet Meeting to reaffirm the Bangsamoro Government’s commitment to sustaining the progress of all programs and projects in Sulu.

The meeting emphasized the critical need to align implementation efforts with the genuine needs of the people of Sulu, underscoring the importance of clear performance metrics, impact measurement, and accountability.

Although the Province of Sulu has temporarily exited the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Chief Minister Macacua assured the public that this transition will not disrupt the delivery of essential services or hinder ongoing development initiatives in the province.

“Despite the temporary exit of Sulu from BARMM, I assure our people that services and development will not be hindered. In shaa Allah, peace and progress will continue to reach every corner of our homeland,” said Macacua.

He emphasized tht the Bangsamoro Government remains unwavering in its duty to serve all its people, without exception, to build a stronger and more resilient Bangsamoro.
