Former ARMM Vice Governor Lucman Visits MILF Headquarters in Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte
COTABATO CITY (September 2, 2025) — Former Vice Governor of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), Haroun Alrashid Alonto Lucman Jr., paid a courtesy visit today to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front Central Committee (MILF-CC) at its headquarters in Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte.
He was warmly welcomed by MILF-CC Chairman and United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) President Al Haj Murad Ebrahim, along with Minister Mohagher Iqbal from the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE).
During their meeting, Chairman Murad, Minister Iqbal, and Former Vice Governor Lucman discussed ongoing development initiatives and projects aimed at advancing the Bangsamoro region, with a particular focus on Lanao del Sur. They emphasized the significance of unity and collective progress as the foundation for sustainable development and long-lasting peace in the region.
“We saw in the face of FRVG Lucman his joy and deep respect in being able to meet our leadership and witness our continuous efforts toward peace and justice for the Bangsamoro,” Chairman Murad stated.
He added, “In our dialogue, we reaffirmed our shared commitment to pursuing the struggle for enduring peace, inclusive growth, and a stronger, more united Bangsamoro.”
