Mindanao Women Advocacy for Good Governance, BMN Launches “Diwa ng Ramadhan, Bahagi ka Muslimah” Talk-show Program

COTABATO CITY (March 9, 2025) — The Mindanao Women Advocacy for Good Governance (MWAGG), in collaboration with the Bangsamoro Multimedia Network (BMN), officially launched the “Diwa ng Ramadhan, Bahagi ka Muslimah” talk-show program on Thursday, March 6. The program will air live from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM every Thursday and Sunday, streaming on BMN and MWAGG social media platforms from the BMN Studio in Tamontaka, Cotabato City.

Faydiyah S. Akmad, Executive Director of BMN, emphasized the program’s goal to enlighten women regarding their roles during the holy month of Ramadan in her opening message.

Naima G. Pendi, President of MWAGG, highlighted the responsibilities of Muslim women during Ramadan, particularly the preparation of iftar meals. She encouraged women not to complain about the effort involved in these preparations, reminding them that “after all of the sacrifices, there are always rewards.”

Hasna L. Guiamadel, one of the featured speakers, shared insights on the values of humility during Ramadan. She stated, “It is the beginning of being humble. We must avoid pride and focus on maintaining humility at all times.” She further suggested practicing kindness, respect, and effective communication, stressing the importance of using polite language and speaking slowly to avoid misunderstandings.

The talk show will cover various topics related to Ramadan, outlined as follows:

– Episode 1: Overview of the Da’wah program and the organization
– Episode 2: What is Ramadhan and the best ways to prepare for it
– Episode 3: How to combat evil deeds during Ramadhan
– Episode 4: Women’s concerns and their roles during Ramadhan
– Episode 5: What are Salah and its Sunnah prayers
– Episode 6: What is Zakat and Sadaqah
– Episode 7: All About Eid’l Fit’r
– Episode 8: How to sustain good deeds after Ramadan

The “Diwa ng Ramadhan, Bahagi ka Muslimah” talk-show program aims to inform and educate women about their significant roles during Ramadhan.
