Datu Tumindeg Sultan High School Celebrates Groundbreaking of New Classroom Building in BARMM

COTABATO CITY (June 4, 2024) – Community members of Barangay Nabundas in Pikit, SGA-BARMM, celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony for a new building at Datu Tumindeg Sultan High School, marking a significant advancement in educational infrastructure.

The two-structure, featuring four classrooms, is a pivotal development funded through the 2023 Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF). BTA Parliament Floor Leader, Atty. Sha Elijah B. Dumama-Alba spearheaded the initiative as a manifestation of her dedication to improving educational facilities in the region.

Attendees of the ceremony included notable figures such as Barangay Chairwoman Sittie Haren Sultan, who conveyed heartfelt appreciation for the project’s potential benefits to the local community.

Project Engineer Engr. Mohammad Fauzan S. Sarento, representing the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE), outlined the project’s blueprint and timeline, ensuring stakeholders of the project’s adherence to high standards and timely completion.

Ustadz Jan Areef A. Mascud, Moral Recovery Officer from MBHTE, emphasized the significance of this new facility in fostering both academic excellence and moral development among students.

The new school building promises to significantly enhance the learning environment at Datu Tumindeg Sultan High School, offering students a conducive space for their educational pursuits.

The project not only highlights the Bangsamoro Government’s commitment to educational progress but also represents a hopeful future for the youth in SGA-BARMM ensuring that the next generation of students will have access to improved learning facilities and opportunities.
