MPW BARMM ensures Ministry Procurement Processes and Forms consistent with RA No. 9184
ZAMBOANGA CITY (March 17, 2023) — The Ministry of Public Works of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MPW-BARMM) has conducted an “Orientation-Workshop of Ministry Procurement Processes and Forms” that focused on support activities and forma for BAC Secretariat participated in by BAC members, BAC TWG, BAC Secretariat from Island DEOs of Basilan, Sulu 1st, Sulu 2nd and Tawi-Tawi respectively on March 14-16.
MPW on its Facebook page said that the workshop aims to ensure the uniformity of procedures forms and practices of the different procurement units of the office consistent with the standards set by Republic Act No. 9184 and the on-time compliance of both the Regional Office and DEOs to the legal and reportorial requirements of regulatory bodies governing public procurement.
On the said activity, questions and concerns from the participants related to procurement processes were significantly addressed by Regional office heads.
Administrative and Financial Service Director II Atty. Sittie Nadia M. Karim said, “Capacity-building activities like these are target support staff. The end goal is not only for us to refresh ourselves on existing rules but also to improve how we do our processes to perform our functions more efficiently and effectively.”
Meanwhile, the Ministry has also conducted the 5th ceremonial mass oath-taking of newly appointed employees of Regional Office, Tawi-Tawi, Maguindanao Del Norte and Maguindanao Del Sur District Engineering Offices held at Alnor Hotel and Convention Center, Cotabato City on March 8.
The said oath-taking ceremony was administered by MPW Minister Architect Eduard Uy Guerra, administered the program with Sheikh Muhammad Nadzir S.
