MPOS-BARMM hosts Bangsamoro Tri-People Peace Summit

COTABATO CITY (December 6, 2023) The Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) is currently hosting the Bangsamoro Tri- People Peace Summit (BTPS) at Park Inn Hotel Radisson, Davao City on December 4-7, 2023.

The activity is engaging 30 young peace-builders youth participants across the different sectors.

The purpose of this program is to bring together young peace builders from all backgrounds and encourage them to discuss and share their insights and points of view in order to support the region’s peace process.

Hon. Hussein P. Munoz, Member of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority Parliament and Minister of Public Order and Safety, underscored in his message of unity how the voices of the young people are uniting together to create a better, brighter future.

“It is a platform where your voices as youth, the Bangsamoro, Indigenous People and Christians, blend as one . Where you shared aspiration resonate and who the power of collaborations can re-write History,” said Munoz.

He added, “The Bangsamoro Tri-people summit is not a simply event. It is a testament to our unwavering commitment to embrace diversity, promote inclusivity and build bridges of peace among the Bangsamoro region’s major ethnic groups”

The MPOS head said, “It must embrace the strength of determination and hope. We have to keep in mind that every step we take, no matter how small, brings us closer to achieving our goals.”

MPOS received 300 applicants on all parts of the BARMM region. Only thirty (30) were chosen to join the annual Bangsamoro Tri-People Peace Summit. (Nurjanna D. Alijam, BMN/BangsamoroToday)
