MOU nilagdaan sa pagitan ng BPDA, MOTC, PLGU, at MLGU para sa inaasahang BARMM International Airport
COTABATO CITY (Ika-11 ng Hunyo 2024) — Nilagdaan ang Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) sa pagitan ng Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA), Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC), Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) ng Maguindanao del Norte at Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) ng Sultan Matura, na ginanap kahapon, araw ng Lunes, ika-10 ng Hunyo 2024 sa Municipal Hall ng Sultan Mastura.
Ang MOU na ito ay may kinalaman sa Conduct of a Feasibility Study and Master Plan para sa inaasahang BARMM International Airport sa Maguindanao del Norte, na pinondohan sa ilalim ng FY 2023 Special Development Fund (SDF).
Ayon sa facebook page ni Maguindanao del Norte Gobernador Abdulraof A. Macacua, ipinapaabot nito ang kanyang optimism hinggil sa potensyal na epekto ng pagsisikap na ito.
“Establishing an international airport will create a ripple effect of opportunities for our residents, offering new horizons for livelihood and employment. It will catalyze economic activity and attract investments and businesses to generate jobs. Our youth will find a spectrum of career paths, and our skilled workforce will have avenues for growth and advancement,” ayon kay Gobernador Macacua.
“Its construction and operation will boost the local economy and drive innovation, creating a spillover effect of development that will position Maguindanao del Norte and BARMM as hubs of growth and opportunity,” dagdag nito.
Ang nasabing paglagda sa MOU ay nagpapakita ng potensyal at commitment ng probinsya sa pagtataguyod ng pag-unlad sa ekonomiya sa probinsya. Ito ay naghatid ng kagalakan sa mga residente hinggil sa dulot nitong pag-us bong ng ekonomiya at kaunlaran ng rehiyon. (Sahara A. Saban, BMN/BangsamoroToday)
