PNP PRO BAR Activates 8 Municipal Police Stations in SGA-BARMM to Strengthen Local Security

COTABATO CITY (September 13, 2025) — In a significant step toward enhancing peace and security in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the Philippine National Police (PNP) officially activated eight Type “C” Municipal Police Stations in the Special Geographic Areas (SGA) of BARMM on Friday, September 12.

This milestone reinforces law enforcement presence and improves public service delivery in the newly established municipalities within the region.

The activation ceremony was led by BARMM Chief Minister Hon. Abdulraof A. Macacua, represented by Atty. Marvin D. Mokamad, Director II of the Internal Audit Service (IAS-BARMM).

Notable guests included Atty. Fahd A. Candao, Regional Director of NAPOLCOM-BARMM, and Member of Parliament Butch P. Malang, who also serves as the SGA Development Administrator.

PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of PNP PRO BAR, along with PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO 12 (represented by PCOL Harold S. Ramos), expressed their full commitment to ongoing inter-agency coordination. They emphasized that these newly activated police stations are intended to become pillars of peace, order, and public trust.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by PNP PRO BAR to reorganize and strengthen local law enforcement infrastructure, reflecting the PNP’s commitment to building safe, resilient, and empowered communities throughout the Bangsamoro region. (BMN/BangsamoroToday)
