
United Youth for Peace and Development Inc. Conducts Islamic Leadership Training Workshop

BULUAN, MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR (September 1, 2025) — The UNYPAD Bangsamoro Kulliyah for Islamic Studies (BKIS) Chapter successfully held a one-day Islamic Leadership and Management Training Workshop on August 31, at the BKIS campus in Poblacion, Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur.
The initiative was led by the local chapter of United Youth for Peace and Development Inc. (UNYPAD), with support from the provincial officers and members of the organization. It is said that 80 participants attended the workshop, including students from both BKIS and Eastern Kutawato College Inc.
Akmad S. Musa, the UNYPAD Provincial Chairman, opened the session by orienting the participants on house rules and setting expectations for the day’s activities.
The training, facilitated by Datuan Magon Jr., included a comprehensive discussion on the principles of Islamic leadership and management. “Our dream for the youth is to build a strong and morally upright Islamic community,” he said during the session, emphasizing the vital role of young people in nation-building grounded in Islamic values.
Participants expressed a keen interest in the workshop and reported that they gained valuable knowledge and insights throughout the training.
During the closing program, Almoner Abdaho, UNYPAD Assistant Secretary for Administration and a faculty member at BKIS, encouraged participants to apply the knowledge and lessons learned in their daily lives.
