COTABATO CITY, Philippines (September 1, 2025) — The League of Bangsamoro Organizations (LBO), under the leadership of President Hashim B. Manticayan, officially turned over a $20,000 donation to help provide food for families in Gaza on August 31. The donation was handed to its implementing partner — the Global Coalition for Aqsa and Palestine (GCQP) — during the recent Global Conference for Aqsa and Palestine held in Istanbul, Turkey.

This donation reflects LBO’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian assistance and global solidarity, particularly in support of the Palestinian people and the protection of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The funds were raised through the collective Sadaqah of the Bangsamoro people as part of the organization’s continuing Sadaqah Campaign, now on its third wave.

“The Bangsamoro people stand in solidarity with our Palestinian brothers and sisters,” said President Manticayan. “This contribution reflects the deep connection between our peoples and our shared pursuit of justice, peace, and human dignity.”

GCQP, a global body dedicated to advocating for Palestinian rights and the protection of Islamic holy sites, expressed its gratitude and commended LBO for its unwavering support.

President Manticayan also announced that additional funds remain from the recent drive, with preparations underway for the 4th Wave of the Sadaqah Campaign for Gaza.

“To everyone who helped—those who contributed, campaigned, and collected—maraming salamat po. This would not have been possible without your support,” he added.

The Global Conference for Aqsa and Palestine gathered key leaders, organizations, and advocates from across the Muslim world including the Bangsamoro, Philippines to strengthen coordinated humanitarian efforts and unified action in support of Palestine. (Tu Alid Alfonso, BMN/BangsamoroToday)
