
UNYPAD Maguindanao Cluster 3 Successfully Holds Orientation and Officer Selection at EKCI Chapter

PANDAG, MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR (July 27, 2025) — The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD), through its Maguindanao Cluster 3 Provincial Office, successfully facilitated an orientation and selection cum appointment of officers for its school-based chapter at Eastern Kutawato College, Inc. (EKCI) on July 26, held at Barangay Kayaga, Pandag, Maguindanao del Sur.
The activity commenced with a Qur’anic reading and opening du’a led by Halil G. Kamama, Chief of the Da’wah and Education Committee.
Spearheaded by the UNYPAD Maguindanao Cluster 3 Provincial Officers, the initiative aims to strengthen youth involvement in peacebuilding, increase organizational membership, and implement relevant programs and services at the grassroots level.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Taha P. Pido, College Dean of EKCI, encouraged the youth to join functional organizations aligned with Islamic values like the UNYPAD. “I dream of your success and hope to see tangible projects initiated by your group on our campus in the future,” Dr. Pido expressed.
UNYPAD Maguindanao Cluster 3 Provincial Chairman Akmad Sugadol Musa discussed the organization’s vision, mission, and goals. He highlighted his two decades of experience in community leadership and emphasized UNYPAD’s role in empowering the youth through training and capacity-building programs.
“UNYPAD serves as a mobile university,” Chairman Musa stated. “Being an active member not only enhances your skills but also strengthens your role in our broader social and political movement,” said Musa. The official selection and appointment of EKCI chapter officers were also facilitated by Chairman Musa.
Meanwhile, Pasigan Sapalon, Vice Chairman for Internal Affairs, welcomed the newly appointed officers. “You are fortunate to be part of this organization — you are now part of the jihād in the context of political struggle for peace and development,” he remarked.
In his closing message, Taukan Salugongan, Vice Chairman for External Affairs, encouraged the youth to stay engaged. “If you want to stay forever young, don’t hesitate to join UNYPAD.
