
UNYPAD Bukidnon Provincial Chapter Conducts Seminar-Workshops on Islamic Leadership, Conflict Management, and Community Organizing

KALILANGAN, BUKIDNON (July 27, 2025) — The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) Bukidnon Provincial Chapter successfully conducted a two-day seminar-workshop on Islamic Leadership, Conflict Management, and Community Organizing on July 25–26, 2025, held at Purok 2, Poblacion, Kalilangan, Bukidnon.
The event aimed to strengthen the capacities of youth leaders and members in promoting peace, effective leadership, and active community participation in alignment with Islamic principles. It brought together local youth leaders, organization members, and key community stakeholders committed to fostering unity and development across the province.
Datuan Magon, Jr. and Tu Alfonso, national officers of UNYPAD and lead facilitators of the event, shared valuable insights on conflict transformation, grassroots organizing, and the core values of Islamic leadership in addressing social and political challenges. The sessions were highly interactive, featuring group activities and practical discussions to equip participants with relevant skills for community engagement and leadership.
In his message, Astany Mamandog, Provincial Chapter Chairman, emphasized that the seminar-workshop is part of UNYPAD’s broader mission to empower Muslim youth in the Bangsamoro region through education, capacity-building, and faith-based initiatives.
One of the highlights of the event was the oath-taking ceremony of the newly reaffirmed provincial officers, led by Chairman Mamandog. The ceremony symbolized the renewed commitment of the chapter to uphold and implement the programs and services of the organization.
