
Office for Other Bangsamoro Communities Holds Coordination Meeting with Special Development Fund Project Management Office

COTABATO CITY (June 26, 2025) — In an effort to enhance inclusive development and strengthen collaboration between offices, the Office for Other Bangsamoro Communities (OOBC) convened a meeting with the Special Development Fund Project Management Office (SDF-PMO), led by Engr. Kadil A. Sulaik Jr., PME, MPA. The goal of the meeting was to discuss the status of project proposals submitted by Bangsamoro communities located outside the core territory of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Held at the SDF-PMO office, the meeting on social media post, OOBC said that it aims to follow up on various community development project proposals endorsed by the OOBC and submitted to the SDF-PMO. “These proposals, which encompass infrastructure support and socio-economic development programs, are designed to address the needs and aspirations of Bangsamoro communities residing beyond the BARMM core territory,” it emphasized.
OOBC Executive Director Noron S. Andan, MPA, MAEd, highlighted the importance of inclusive governance and ensuring that Bangsamoro constituents outside the region are not overlooked. “It is our mandate to ensure that our fellow Bangsamoro in outside communities are not left behind. Through this coordination, we are reinforcing our commitment to inclusive development,” the director stated.
The meeting also examined opportunities for collaboration in project implementation, site validations, and community engagement. Both offices agreed to establish a regular coordination mechanism to streamline proposal submissions, monitoring processes, and feedback.
Additionally, the SDF-PMO reaffirmed its support for the initiatives of the OOBC and acknowledged the distinct needs of Bangsamoro communities outside of BARMM.
