
BARMM Chief Minister Macacua Directs Improvements in Governance and Community Impact

COTABATO CITY (May 21, 2025) — BARMM Chief Minister Abdulraof A. Macacua held a Special Cabinet Meeting to enhance public service delivery and governance efficiency on Wednesday.
The meeting reviewed performance ratings, budget utilization, and disaster response due to recent flooding in Maguindanao. Discussion also included upcoming parliamentary elections and infrastructure priorities.
Recent SWS survey results showing “Very Good” to “Excellent” satisfaction ratings were highlighted, indicating growing public trust. Macacua emphasized the need to deepen grassroots impact.
The Ministry of Finance reported improved spending efficiency, but Macacua called for prompt payment to suppliers and expedited budget proposals. Key directives included: Creation of a Task Force on Infrastructure for timely project delivery, Dedicated team for Simuay Bridge issues, and Continued service delivery in Sulu, pending a Technical Working Group directive from the President.
