UNYPAD BKIS Chapter Empowers Future Leaders Through Public Speaking Seminar-Workshop

BULUAN, MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR (May 19, 2025) — The UNYPAD Bangsamoro Kulliyyah for Islamic Studies (BKIS) Chapter successfully hosted a seminar-workshop themed “Raise Your Voice: Empowering Future Leaders through Public Speaking” on May 18, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the BKIS Conference Hall, Brgy. Poblacion, Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur.

Approximately 46 active members, both men and women, attended the event. The seminar-workshop aimed to equip participants with essential communication and leadership skills.

The program commenced with an Opening Du’a led by BKIS Chairman Alirayan D. Ahmad, fostering a spirit of reflection and unity. Almoner S. Abdaho welcomed the attendees with an inspiring address, followed by opening remarks from Taukan Salugungan, the UNYPAD BKIS Chapter Adviser, who emphasized the importance of public speaking in shaping influential leaders.

Provincial Chairman Akmad G. Musa shared an inspiring message, urging participants to use their voices as instruments of change and empowerment. He reaffirmed that their decision to join UNYPAD was wise, highlighting that the organization serves as a vital platform for youth development, equipping members with the skills and guidance needed to become future leaders in their communities.

The seminar’s highlight was a session led by Tu “Yshmael” A. Alfonso, the National Vice President of UNYPAD, and Chairman of the Bangsamoro Multimedia Network (BMN) who served as the resource speaker. His expertise provided attendees with strategies to boost their confidence and refine their public speaking skills.

The workshop was effectively facilitated by Provincial Chairman Akmad G. Musa and BKIS Adviser Taukan Salugungan, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience for all participants.

The event concluded with heartfelt closing remarks from Engr. Morsid U. Guiapal, Office of Student Affairs Coordinator. He expressed gratitude to the speakers, facilitators, and attendees for their dedication and enthusiasm.
