
30 Units of Salam Homes project, handover to Bangsamoro government employees

COTABATO CITY (April 10, 2025) — The Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD) completed the handover of 30 homes in the Salam Homes project to their new owners in Barangay Semba, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte on April 3, 2025.
This handover was part of the MHSD’s broader initiative to bolster its housing loan program, providing affordable housing options for Bangsamoro employees in collaboration with the Pag-IBIG Fund.
Minister Atty. Hamid Aminoddin D. Barra congratulated the first batch of Salam Homes recipients, highlighting the MHSD’s role in the project’s success.
“Part of our work is not only building decent houses but also organizing the homeowners’ associations (HOAs) so that they can establish a viable community that works for peace and development. In shaa Allah, for this first batch, we will now be able to organize the HOA in this area,” Minister Barra said.
Salem C. Demuna, REA, Director II for Operations and Management Services said: “To our new homeowners, this day is a celebration of your hard work and dedication. May these homes be a source of joy, peace, and stability for you and your families. We hope that you will take care of these homes and help build a strong and united community here in Brgy. Semba.”
The MHSD’s Bangsamoro Affordable Housing Project, or SALAM (Sustainable, Affordable, Livable, Accessible, and Modern) Homes, will ultimately consist of 192 units across ten blocks. Construction is well underway, with 107 units already completed and another 85 currently under construction.
Through MHSD’s Housing and Human Settlements Division and its supervision, the project will be completed by the BenBuild Developers in the construction of the Salam Homes project.
Each 36 sqm home, built on a 100 sqm lot, represents a significant investment of P850,000 and is designed for secure and comfortable living.
Bai Majah Sinsuat, the Barangay Semba Chairperson, welcomed the project and pledged her continued support for its development.
