MSSD Conducts Random Spot Checks on Social Welfare Program Beneficiaries in Maguindanao del Sur

COTABATO CITY (March 28, 2025) — The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) conducted random monitoring of its social welfare programs in Maguindanao del Sur on March 24-25, 2025. Led by the Planning and Development Division’s Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Section, the two-day activity focused on beneficiaries from Datu Saudi Ampatuan and Shariff Aguak.

A total of 31 beneficiaries were interviewed, representing various programs, including the Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro Program and Early Childhood Care and Development Program. Moctar Abubakar, Head of the M&E Section, emphasized that the monitoring aimed to assess program implementation, identify improvement areas, and ensure compliance with guidelines.

Farouk Romancap, the Municipal Social Welfare Officer of Shariff Aguak, expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting its potential to enhance MSSD services for their residents. The monitoring team included officials from the Protective Services and Welfare Division and the Disaster Response and Management Division to support the Municipal Social Welfare Officers.
