
MBHTE Distributes Food Items in Celebration of Eid al-Fitre

COTABATO CITY (March 28, 2025) — In celebration of Eid al-Fitre and the conclusion of Ramadan, the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE) distributed sacks of rice and grocery packages to its employees on Friday, March 28 at the regional office, BGC in this city.
The education ministry said, “This initiative aims to honor the spirit of the holiday and foster a sense of community among the ministry’s workforce.”
A total of 1,009 employees, including both regular and contract staff, received two 25 kg sacks of rice along with grocery bags filled with essential items. Each grocery bag contained: 2 liters of cooking oil, 1 liter each of soy sauce and vinegar, 1 kilogram of banana ketchup, original 3-in-1 coffee, 1 kilogram of native coffee, 2 kilograms each of brown and white sugar, 840 grams of powdered milk, 24 packets of powdered juice, 1 kilogram of sotanghon noodles, 1 kilogram of powdered chocolate malt drink, 380 grams of strawberry jam, a tray of fresh eggs, and a tote eco bag.
The ministry emphasized that Ramadan is a time for fasting, reflection, and giving. Through this initiative, they aimed to provide meaningful assistance as employees prepare to celebrate Eid with their families. By offering these grocery packages, MBHTE hopes to ease some burdens and enhance the joy of the holiday for its staff and their loved ones.
