The League of Bangsamoro Organizations (LBO), representing 632 organizations across the Bangsamoro, vehemently condemns the recent massacre of innocent civilians in Gaza during the sacred month of Ramadhan On March 18, 2025, Israeli airstrikes resulted in over 400 Palestinian deaths, including 183 children, making it one of the deadliest days since the war began in 2023.

This brutal attack, carried out in blatant disregard of the ceasefire agreement, constitutes a grave violation of international humanitarian law and an affront to the fundamental principles of human dignity and justice.
As the Muslim world observes a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection, Israel’s continued airstrikes on Gaza have resulted in the indiscriminate killing of men, women, and children, turning places of worship and refuge into sites of devastation. Such atrocities not only violate the sanctity of Ramadhan but also mock international norms designed to protect civilian lives in times of conflict.

The LBO strongly denounces the systematic aggression and war crimes committed against the Palestinian people. The deliberate targeting of civilians, destruction of homes, hospitals, and humanitarian infrastructures, and the ongoing blockade that deprives Gaza of essential supplies are clear violations of the Geneva Conventions and international humanitarian law.

CALL FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION

  1. To the Bangsamoro Parliament and the Office of Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua – We urge the Bangsamoro government to issue an official resolution condemning the attacks, express solidarity with the Palestinian people, and explore diplomatic and humanitarian initiatives to support Gaza.
  2. To the Muslim Ummah and the Bangsamoro People – We call on all Muslims and peace advocates to unite in prayer, peaceful demonstrations, and humanitarian assistance for our Palestinian brothers and sisters.
  3. To the Philippine Government – We urge Pres. Marcos and Congress to issue an official statement condemning the attacks and to support diplomatic efforts for an immediate ceasefire.
  4. To the International Criminal Court (ICC) and its Member States – We call on the ICC and its member states to immediately enforce the arrest warrant issued against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes and crimes against humanity. His prosecution must proceed without delay to prevent further atrocities and to save the people of Gaza. Member states must act swiftly to ensure his arrest and prosecution to prevent further atrocities and save the people of Gaza.
  5. To the International Community – We call upon the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and ASEAN to take decisive action, impose sanctions, and hold Israel accountable for its crimes against humanity.
  6. To President Donald Trump and the U.S. Government – We urge the U.S. government, as a major global power and key ally of Israel, to cease its unconditional support for these war crimes. The U.S. must uphold international law, support an immediate ceasefire, and halt military aid that enables the continued massacre of Palestinian civilians.
  7. To Humanitarian Organizations – We implore humanitarian groups, NGOs, and civil society networks to intensify relief efforts for the besieged people of Gaza.
The LBO stands in solidarity with the people of Gaza and the global community advocating for justice, peace, and the protection of innocent lives. We will not remain silent in the face of genocide, occupation, and state-sponsored terrorism

We pray for the victims, for justice to prevail, and for an end to the oppression of the Palestinian people. May Allah grant them strength, patience (sabr), and ultimate victory (nasr).

STOP THE MASSACRE!
END THE OCCUPATION!
