COTABATO CITY (March 21, 2025) — Mayor Datu Tucao Mastura, a gubernatorial candidate for Maguindanao del Norte, alongside Team United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP), facilitated the distribution of essential aid to over 7,000 residents from eleven barangays in Datu Odin Sinsuat on March 19, 2025. This initiative took place at the Mindanao State University (MSU) Covered Court in Barangay Poblacion Dalican, where residents received a 25-kilo sack of rice and supplementary food packs.
The barangays that benefited from this charitable effort included Tinonggos, Bagoenged, Poblacion, Kenabeka, Sibuto, Neketan, Kakar, Dados, Bunged, and Ambolodto.
Mayor Mastura highlighted that the “Movement for Peace UBJP All the Way” is designed to assist those in need and to foster stronger ties between the community and the UBJP party. He emphasized the importance of supporting the disadvantaged and enhancing community relations.
The event also saw the presence of Cotabato City Congresswoman Bai Dimple Mastura and candidates from the UBJP Datu Odin Sinsuat chapter, indicating a unified front in their community support efforts.
In addition to the rice and food packs, a raffle was conducted, offering two minivans as prizes, which were awarded to fortunate barangays for their community use. This initiative was made possible through the support of former Maguindanao Board Member Datu Asnawi Jojo Limbona, who is dedicated to assisting the residents of Datu Odin Sinsuat and fortifying community bonds.
Mayor Mastura and his Team UBJP plan to extend this aid distribution to additional barangays in Datu Odin Sinsuat and surrounding towns in the province, continuing their commitment to serving the community’s needs. (Reported by USM BSIR OJT Student: Melody N. Flores, BMN/BangsamoroToday)
