Bangsamoro Ministry of Health Marks First 100 Days Under New Leadership
DAVAO CITY (August 20, 2024) — The Ministry of Health (MOH) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has reached a significant milestone by completing its first 100 days under the new leadership of Health Minister Dr. Kadil M. Sinolinding Jr.
In a recent address, Dr. Sinolinding Jr. outlined key achievements and challenges encountered during these initial days. The ministry’s efforts have centered on addressing workforce shortages, upgrading healthcare facilities, and enhancing services in underserved areas. Dr. Sinolinding also highlighted strengthened partnerships with local communities and stakeholders to ensure effective healthcare delivery.
“Our vision is a healthy Bangsamoro where everyone can achieve optimal health,” Dr. Sinolinding Jr. stated. He emphasized the ministry’s commitment to creating an equitable and responsive health system that meets global standards. Key initiatives include bolstering primary healthcare, upgrading hospitals, and promoting community-based rehabilitation.
Dr. Sinolinding Jr. expressed gratitude to various supporters, including the BARMMChief Minister Ahod “Alhaj Murad” Ebrahim, development partners, and national health officials. He reaffirmed the ministry’s dedication to universal healthcare access and pledged continued efforts to address health needs without imposing financial burdens on the people.
“I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Chief Minister for his trust and confidence in our ability to implement meaningful reforms within our health platform for the Bangsamoro. I also commend my colleagues at the Ministry, who are dedicated to ensuring that no one is left behind or untreated,” Dr. Sinolinding Jr. said.
He further acknowledged the invaluable support of development partners, noting, “My gratitude extends to our development partners who have provided tireless and unwavering support, enabling the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao to respond effectively and promptly.”
Dr. Sinolinding Jr. invited the Bangsamoro people to join in the journey toward a healthier future, stressing the importance of collective effort. “Together, we are building a healthier and more prosperous future for all. Thank you for your continued trust and support as we advance this journey. I urge everyone to join hands, engage, and collaborate for the benefit of our community, ensuring that no one is left behind or untreated,” he said.
