Statement by Minister Mohagher Iqbal on the Appointment of Senator Sonny Angara as the new Department of Education Secretary
On behalf of the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Senator Sonny Angara on his appointment as the new Secretary of the Department of Education. This is a momentous occasion, and we recognize Senator Angara’s dedication and commitment to advancing education in our nation.
Senator Angara’s extensive experience and proven track record in championing educational reforms make him an excellent choice for this crucial role. We are confident that the Department of Education will continue fostering an environment that prioritizes our learners’ academic and holistic development under his leadership.
As one of the champions of the Bangsamoro Basic Law (now the Bangsamoro Organic Law), Senator Angara’s efforts in promoting peace and development have not gone unnoticed. His commitment to inclusive and progressive policies will undoubtedly enrich our educational system and support the growth of all communities.
