Job Fair highlights BARMM’s Labor Day celebration
COTABATO CITY (May 1, 2023) — A Job Fair highlights the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao’s (BARMM) commemoration of the 121st Labor Day celebration in the Philippines which is currently being held today and will end tomorrow at the CityMall in this city.
According to Muslimin G. Sema, Minister of the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE)-BARMM, the activity is part of government program aimed to reduce and lower the unemployment rate in the Bangsamoro region.
The MOLE advised the applicants to bring a Resume, 2X2 ID picture, clearances from the PNP, National Bureau of Investigation, and Barangay and Birth Certificate, and pertinent documents needed to submit an application to companies offering employment.
Some of the jobs that can be applied for are general nurse, encoders, trailer truck drivers, heavy equipment operators, store operations management trainee, technical support, HSR Engineers, IT staff, administrative staff, customer service representative, procurement officer, cashier, purchasing clerk. , baggers, service crew, sales agents and many others.
The job fair includes free services, such as free legal consultation and notarization of simple affidavit, registration of rural workers association, and other services provided by MOLE-BARMM.
The Bangsamoro Labor Day 2023 is celebrated with the theme “Matatag na Trabaho at Kabuhayan Para sa Manggagawang Bangsamoro” or “Stable Work and Livelihood for the Bangsamoro Worker.”
It started with a parade here in the city that was participated by various ministries of BARMM, representatives from development partners, social partners —OSHNet, wage board, BTIPC; workers from the informal, public and private sectors, and other stakeholders.
